Birthing Suite
If you’re planning a vaginal delivery, you will labour in a spacious and modern suite which has been specifically designed for the comfort and privacy or you and your partner. Each suite has a fully electronic, specifically designed birthing bed as well as its own private bath, allowing you the option of incorporating water immersion into your labour. You will also have your own birth ball, birth mat and birth stool available to you. A TV with a large selection of digital channels and a pull out lounge are also provided for you and your support team.
As a patient of mine at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital, I will be able to constantly monitor your labour via the K2 fetal monitoring system. This brilliant and modern monitoring system affords us the safety that I believe you and your baby deserve.

Having undergone an extensive refurbishment in 2021, the Maternity Ward is designed to provide a comfortable and private environment for you and your partner to get to know your baby. Each room is designed to have your partner stay with you overnight and also includes:
